Wedding budgets are often one of the more significant points of content when it comes to planning your dream wedding, and with all of the various aspects of pulling off an epic day, your budget can quickly spiral out of control. A “quick fix” to this issue is having a game plan in place to help you take control of your budget, but how do you actually stay on track?
During the planning process, have you asked yourself the following...
How much is truly enough?
How will I afford everything I need for my wedding?
How do I plan accordingly for every expense?
Do I need a “parachute” in place in case things get carried away?
Take a look at our Wedding Budget Breakdown to see how much you should be spending in each area, this will help you in breaking down your wedding budget and staying in control of your finances.

A Few Extra Tips For Planning
Be realistic - Before you decide on the type of wedding you are going to have, take time to figure out the budget (how much money) you have to work with. Carefully budgeting out how much each aspect of your wedding will cost will help you to allocate your funds accordingly. This is especially important for location, venue, and decor costs.
Who is contributing? - Don’t have a large budget yourself? It’s time to find some investors! Though it may be difficult, have a mature and frank discussion with your parents (or other family members) to find out if they are willing to contribute to your wedding, or if you are on your “own” with the expenses. Knowing this will enable you to further budget out each expense.
Wedding Dress - The good news is, you don’t have to worry about cost when it comes to your dress. At Anya Bridal, we have an exclusive collection of private label gowns in a wide variety at prices that you can afford! We have the best selection of elegant gowns that can match your size and price point. Don’t forget to make an appointment with us! Our experts can take care of the rest!
Get a breakdown - Any wedding planner (like yours truly!) will be able to provide you with a breakdown of expenses based on what you need and want for your wedding day. It’s important to get a breakdown to help you decide what wiggle room you have for funds and costs.
Surprise fund! - My best piece of advice to you is to have what I call a Surprise or “parachute” fund. Often, couples will be “surprised” with or by hidden budget costs that pop up, as well as unforeseen circumstances. It’s important to plan for these added extras so that there are no surprises in your budget to begin with! That’s where your “parachute” fund comes in. I suggest at least $1000 or more depending on your overall wedding budget.
Choose your focus - Choose the top three items you feel are must-haves for your wedding day and focus your attention and budget there, while scaling back on the rest. This will help you to achieve the wedding you truly want without going overboard with your spending.
